Battery Return

Symbol with crossed-out dustbin

Please note:

Batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in household waste or carelessly in the environment!

Alte Baterien und Akkus
Old batteries and accumulators

This is also indicated by the crossed-out wheelie garbage can symbol on batteries and rechargeable batteries. Return your used batteries and rechargeable batteries free of charg to the battery collection boxes in shops or other collection points. Consumers are legally obliged to do so. On the one hand, separate collection keeps harmful substances out of household waste and the environment. It also enables batteries to be recycled and valuable materials such as zinc, steel/iron, aluminum, nickel, copper, silver, manganese and cobalt to be recovered.

Batteries subject to mandatory labeling are marked with one of the following symbols for classification as containing harmful heavy metals:

  • Symbol mit durchgestrichener Mülltonne darunter 'Cd' für Cadnium
    Batterie contains cadmium
  • Symbol mit durchgestrichener Mülltonne darunter 'Hg' für Quecksilber
    Battery contains mercury
  • Symbol mit durchgestrichener Mülltonne darunter 'Pb' für Blei
    Battery contains lead

You can of course also return batteries from equipment which you have purchased from Fitshop - the Fitness Specialist - free of charge at any of our stores after use or send them back to us:
